I launched this publication newsletter thingy with one goal: to learn from individuals in various fields about their artistic process, their inspirations, and how they break through creative blocks. My first interview, with singer-songwriter Zoe Boekbinder, was a long one in the making. I’d reached out to Zoe (they/them) a few years ago about interviewing them for a podcast they were working on, and although they said they were open to doing an interview, they weren’t quite ready to chat yet. Over a period of a few months we emailed back and forth, but the interview never came to fruition.

Fast forward to this year. I learned Zoe was about to release a new album right around the time I wanted to launch Creative Reverberations. So I emailed them and they quickly responded with a yes! It felt like a huge win for me—I was going to email an artist whose work I’ve admired for years and publish it in my very own publication.
