Hello friends!
I have a question for you. What do you want to get out of your Creative Reverberations subscription? More interviews? More stuff from the archives? More interview takeaways? More curated playlists and recommendations? Or maybe you’re just happy with the way things are?
I ask because I send my pieces out into the world and I can see they’re being read, but I don’t get any feedback. And I want to make sure that you’re getting what you want out of this. I mean, I probably can’t please everybody, but I’ll do my best to try. (Hi. I’m a Libra.) (Or am I…?)
Seriously, though, feel free to send me a direct message or leave a comment on what you like or what you’d like to see more of. It would be super helpful to hear from you!
Okay, now that that’s out of the way, how’re we doing this week? I’m tired. I didn’t sleep well last night. I stayed up late-ish watching the Emmy Awards. (Though I didn’t see the whole thing. I watched for as long as I could and then had to pause it and crawl into bed. ) I was very pleased to see that many of my favorite series (The Pitt, Adolescence) were winners, and I was also reminded that there are a lot of series I need to catch up on.
Anyway, the rest of my weekend was nice. Saw some movies—The Conjuring: Last Rites (which was fantastic), Toy Story (my son’s favorite, which we saw in the theater as part of its 30th anniversary run), and War Games, the 1983 classic that we introduced to the kiddo. He thought it was fine. I thought it was eerily prescient, given our current AI climate.
We also went to an exhibit of Lego artist Nathan Sawaya’s work. It’s really cool. Pretty incredible what one can do with a few thousand Lego bricks.

And that’s about it. I hope you had a chance to read last week’s interview with Dar Williams. Seriously, how amazing is she? She’s so funny and her music is just fantastic.
Later this week I’ll share my interview with singer-songwriter Maia Sharp about her new album, Tomboy.
Wishing you a creative, art-filled week!
