A Monday morning hello.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was chock full of movies. I saw Bring Her Back (creepy AF), the new live-action Lilo & Stitch (adorable AF), and a really cool Taste-A-Long screening of the original Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, complete with chocolate, gummy bears, and a whole mess of candies I can’t remember.

Yesterday morning I saw my son do a perfect (if I may say so) performance as Jetsam, one of Ursula’s two evil eel henchmen in the local drama production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. And last night, just to bookend the day with more Disney, we watched Encanto, which is not only enjoyable but truly beautiful.

So, it was a wide range of films, from the gory to the gorgeous, and I loved every second of it. I also ate a lot of buttered popcorn. And candy. So, there’s that.

And yes, there was lots of cat snuggling in between the films, because God forbid I sit down and have the chair, or my lap, to myself.
