Happy Monday! Here’s your weekly dose of creative goodness.

We took the kiddo to see PIECE BY PIECE, the new Pharrell Williams documentary/LEGO movie hybrid, over the weekend. It was cute! Using LEGO animation to tell what is essentially a standard talking head documentary about Pharrell’s life and career is genius—my 12 year old was far more engaged than he would have been otherwise.

I actually had no idea just how many songs the Neptunes (the production duo comprising Pharrell and Chad Hugo) wrote, produced, and performed on until I saw the film. (I also had no idea I still knew most of the words to “Rump Shaker,” yet here we are. It’s amazing what lives in the deep recesses of one’s brain.)
