Just over a year ago, I published my interview with music journalist Adem Tepedelen, who started his career working at Seattle’s biweekly music magazine The Rocket and has also contributed to Mojo, Seattle Weekly, Revolver, and Decibel, among others.
A few years ago he transitioned to writing books with rock stars, which is how I first came to learn of his work. In recent years he’s co-authored two memoirs: Mud Ride: A Messy Trip Through the Grunge Explosion, co-written with Mudhoney’s Steve Turner, and A Fabulous Disaster: From the Garage to Madison Square Garden, the Hard Way, written with Steve Holt of Slayer and Exodus. And in two weeks, William Morrow will publish his biggest title yet—A Screaming Life: Into the Superunknown with Soundgarden and Beyond, a memoir co-authored with Soundgarden lead guitarist Kim Thayil.
