VIDEO BONUS: Miki Berenyi on Writing Songs, Penning Memoirs, and Future Career Goals
The frontwoman of Lush and the Miki Berenyi Trio discusses all the things.
Last week’s interview with Miki Berenyi was a fun one. I was a big fan of Lush back in the ’90s, and I’ve recently been listening to a lot of her newer music through Piroshka and the Miki Berenyi Trio (MB3).
(If you need a refresher on her music, check out the videos for Lush’s “Ladykillers” and “Hypocrite,” Piroshka’s “Everlastingly Yours,” and her latest release, MB3’s “Island of One.”)
We chatted for a long time about so, so many things. In fact, we chatted for so long, a few chunks of our interview didn’t make it into the published piece (or you would’ve had to read a 10,000-word article). So, I’m sharing some video exclusives from our chat.

In these videos, you’ll hear about…
Miki’s approach to songwriting and how it’s changed over the course of her career
why she wrote her memoir, Fingers Crossed: How Music Saved Me From Success, and how it felt to share it with the public
her future career goals
Enjoy!
