Happy How-Are-The-Holidays-Already-Here Season!
A Monday hello.
Somehow it is nearly Thanksgiving. Which means it is also nearly the end of the year and a new year is about to kick off and HOW is that possible? Just yesterday I was sharing my summer playlist and looking forward spending hours each day lounging by the pool. Now all of a sudden the pool is covered and the trees are bare and my feet are cold.
Hmph.
I will admit that as much as I don’t love winter, I do love the festive holiday events and I even kinda sorta like holiday shopping. Don’t judge me.
Anyway, this week’s check-in is really just a quick note to say hi (hope you’re well, you look lovely), and to let you know there will be no interview this Friday. I’m taking the day off and spending it with my husband and son at the movies. (Literally. All day, three movies, in the theater. I will eat my weight in popcorn.)
I do hope you’ve enjoyed my recent chats with Bill Stevenson (a legend), Leah Song (whose new solo track is gorgeous), and Andy Crocker (brilliant and uber-creative). In the coming weeks I’ll have many wonderful, inspiring chats for you to enjoy, so keep an eye out for the Friday drops. (But not this Friday. I will be full of turkey and popcorn.) Before you go, though, I want to mention one more thing:
Gifts Guides!
If you’re in a gift-giving mood, I recently updated all of my Bookshop gift guides. If you’re not familiar with the site, Bookshop is basically a place to shop for books online while supporting indie bookstores. You can pick a bookstore of your choice or just let your funds go to the bigger pot that’s shared with indie stores nationwide. It’s a great way to shop for books without supporting the Amazon juggernaut.
This content contains affiliate links. I am an affiliate of Bookshop.org and I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.
And…if you use any of the links below, I’ll get a small commission, so you’ll be supporting Creative Reverberations while also supporting indie bookstores AND buying books. Everybody wins.
In my shop, you’ll find gift guides for:
Fantastic Fiction: straight-up fiction that doesn’t clearly fall into a more specific category
Gimme the Dish!: juicy celebrity memoirs
Terrific Thrillers: murder and mayhem and mystery galore
Spine-Tingling Horror: creepy AF
Must-Reads for Music Lovers: fiction and nonfiction music-themed titles
Celeb Coffee Table Books: big, beautiful reads by or about celebrities
Great Reads About Writing: books on the craft of writing
Fun Reads for Film & TV Fans: fiction and nonfiction film & TV-related reads
Truth is Stranger Than Fiction: crazy but true non-fiction
Best Books for the Littlest Readers: picture books for kiddos
Yummy Reads: deliciously beautiful cookbooks
Help Yourself: self-help advice
Drawings & Illustrations: lovely illustrated reads
Excited to Read: books due out in 2026, available for pre-order
I’ll continue to add books to the lists, so please browse the virtual aisles and pick out a few books for a loved one (or yourself).
In the meantime, to those of you who celebrate, have a very happy Thanksgiving. To those who don’t, relax in front of the TV with a slice of pie anyway. You deserve it.
See you next week!
