VIDEO BONUS: Sonya Walger on 'Lion' and 'Wifehouse'
The actor and author discusses the publication of her first two novels.
It was such a treat to chat with Sonya Walger. I’ve loved her work for years, especially her portrayal of badass astronaut Molly Cobb in For All Mankind. So it was a huge, and pleasant, surprise to discover that she’s also an incredibly talented writer.
I devoured her latest book, Wifehouse, and am looking forward to reading last year’s Lion. We talked about both—and many other things—in our chat, but it didn’t all make it into the published piece. So, here are a couple of clips for paid subscribers.
In these videos, you’ll hear her talk about the response to Lion, as well as why she didn’t begin publishing until middle age.
Please give them a watch and then pick up her books.
And if you’re not a paid subscriber, please consider upgrading for just $5/month or $50/year. Every interview I do takes many, many hours of work, and your support enables me to continue to keep this publication going.
